FlipZu offers a simple live-audio broadcasting platform usable from the browser and mobile apps; users press a button to go live and listeners can tune in live or play back recordings. The service supports RSS feeds so recordings can be consumed as podcasts, though media availability and downloads are currently limited. The streaming stack was built with Amazon EC2 in mind to scale for high-traffic events. The platform has been used by public figures including President Correa of Ecuador, former President Lula of Brazil, and a popular local radio show, indicating early traction. FlipZu was started by Dario Rapisardi and Lucas Lain, who are based in Argentina. The founders say they began self-funding the project and are planning to expand the team after incorporation.
