Flojoy develops an open-source, no-code Python testing platform that consolidates Python connections to scientific instruments and automates test-script creation for R&D and heavy industries. The product includes an online catalog of popular instruments and generated Python code to collect measurement data into Flojoy. The company released its first public open-source release alongside the announced fundraising and also offers an enterprise version with at least one paying customer. Flojoy plans to use the instrument data to enable downstream AI and machine-learning workflows. CEO and founder Jack Parmer previously built Plotly and grew it to 300 million users; he leads the company’s push to scale the open-source user base. Flojoy has 20 employees and aims to reach $1 million ARR and one million open-source users by next year.
