FloSpine develops implantable spinal devices and holds eight patents for spine-focused products, with its flagship device KeyLift designed to relieve nerve compression from spinal stenosis. KeyLift is an expandable interlaminar stabilization implant that anchors into the lamina and is intended as an outpatient alternative before patients progress to spinal fusion. The device received FDA clearance last fall and has already been used in several procedures. The company is a team of 12 based in the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and was founded in 2011. FloSpine is concentrating current efforts on commercial sales of KeyLift to surgical centers and interventional pain physicians.
