Flosstime develops an automated consumer floss dispenser that dispenses floss, reminds people to floss and rewards daily flossing habits. The circular device dispenses 18 inches of floss with a single touch, cuts it and starts a 90-second LED timer that orients users to how long to spend on each section of the mouth. After 90 seconds the device lights up with a smile as a reward; after 22 hours of inactivity it shows an orange frown, and if unused for seven days it will automatically shoot out a length of floss. The habit-forming device supports single and dual-user modes. The device was available to order at Flosstime.com for $29.99 and was scheduled to ship in January 2017. The company closed a $970K seed round.
