Flourish is a London-based online platform that lets users create visuals and stories to understand and explain data. It enables businesses, newsrooms and agencies to turn spreadsheets into responsive visualisations, maps, interactives and presentations. The company was founded in March 2016 by Duncan Clark and Robin Huston and was grown out of Kiln, a data visualisation studio. Kiln has served dozens of companies, governments, newsrooms, universities and NGOs to visualise and tell stories with data. Flourish secured £800k (approx. $1m) in funding and will use the funds to further develop its platform.
