Fluid Imaging Technologies develops particle analysis instrumentation based on digital imaging technology. Its flagship product, the FlowCAM, was first manufactured in 1999 and was the first automated particle analysis instrument to use digital imaging to measure size and shape of microscopic particles in a fluid medium. The company says it has continued to lead the way in imaging particle analysis since the FlowCAM's introduction. Its instruments are used across oceanographic research, municipal water, pharmaceutical formulations, chemicals, biofuels and other markets. The company is based in Yarmouth, ME. In a recent SEC filing the company disclosed it raised $4 million in a new round of venture capital.
