Fluid Truck has built an app-based platform designed to remove the pain and cost of owning or leasing commercial vehicles by enabling on-demand rentals and virtual fleet management. The service targets mid-mile and last-mile delivery companies, allowing them to rent and manage trucks without a full-time fleet manager. The company operates in 25 U.S. markets and says its fleet comprises thousands — and plans for tens of thousands — of cargo vans, pickup trucks, large box trucks and other vehicles. Fluid Truck claims to have the largest medium-duty EV rental fleet in the U.S., though electric vehicles still represent under 1% of its total portfolio. Revenue reportedly increased 100x in the last two years, though the company did not disclose a baseline. Future plans include expanding the team, adding dozens more U.S. markets, preparing to enter the EU and Canada, investing in its proprietary telematics and broader tech stack, and partnering with OEMs to grow EV capacity.
