Flutin is a Noida-based OTT music streaming platform focused on independent and emerging artists. Founded in 2014 by Vishu Gupta and Prankush Roopanwal, the service uses AI to track user listening patterns and recommend tracks. It also uses analytics to suggest emerging artists' tracks based on activity, location, and music preferences to help grow artists' fan bases. The company reports over 300K daily active users who stream about 3 million songs daily and over 9 million songs downloaded to date. With the recent funding led by SEGA, Flutin plans to increase its user base in key markets such as the U.S. SEGA cited trends in independent-music revenue, particularly in Japan, as motivation for the investment. PindropMusic, run by Delhi-based Pindrop Music App Pvt Ltd, lets users discover music based on their location, weather, time of day and mood. The app enables emerging artists to display their music as "pindrops" to relevant users and provides real-time usage statistics to artists. The startup was founded by Prankush Roopanwal, Sumit Chakraborty and Vishu Gupta in November last year. Since inception the app has been downloaded about 10,000 times and users have played roughly 7,000 hours of music. The app is presently available on iOS. The company will use the funds for product enhancement and increased marketing spend, and will receive resources and infrastructure support from its investor's accelerator.
