Flyby builds end-to-end automation for drone delivery, including an industry-leading package deployment system that winches products gently from a hovering drone to customers' doorsteps. The company is operating live pilots with food retailers such as Nekter Juice Bar, MAD Greens, Tokyo Joe's, and Popadelics, offering $3 drone deliveries with average times under 4 minutes. Flyby was founded by Jason Lu and Cat Orman and by a team of engineers from Yale, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Anduril. Current technical work is focused on moving its flight systems from Level 3 to Level 4 autonomy so drones can operate without human intervention except for remote override.
