Flylogix
Merlin House, 4 Meteor Way, Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, PO13 9FU, United Kingdom
Overview
Flylogix builds unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) combined with artificial intelligence to detect methane and live-stream data from installations. Its drones operate partially autonomously with oversight from a shore-based pilot and use technology originally designed by NASA for the Mars Curiosity Rover. The Hampshire-based company has worked with BP since 2018, with BP using the UAVs to monitor assets and reduce emissions. Flylogix holds the UK record for the longest commercial drone flight. The company plans to use the new funding to expand internationally and is seeking to provide its service to the US, Norway and Trinidad & Tobago. Financially, Flylogix's current funding round has reached £6m, including a £3m equity investment from BP Ventures.
