Flyrobe is an on-demand fashion rental platform operated by Omapal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The service lets users rent premium and luxury apparel through a mobile app and has tied up with designers such as Ritu Kumar, Masaba Gupta and Shehla Khan. The company was founded in September last year by IIT Bombay alumni Shreya Mishra, Pranay Surana and Tushar Saxena; founders previously worked at Everstone Capital, Deutsche Bank and as CTO at Triptainment Technologies. Flyrobe competes with local players including Zapyle and other rental and resale marketplaces in India. The startup said it will use new funding to scale the business and aims to grow 4–5x by March 2017. Financially, Flyrobe raised a $5.3 million Series A and had earlier raised a $1.7 million seed from a group of investors.
