Flyspaces
18th floor of Equitable Bank Tower, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Philippines
Overview
FlySpaces operates an online marketplace for office space rentals and related commercial venues across six cities in Asia, including Manila, Cebu, Singapore, Hong Kong/Macau, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Headquartered in the Philippines, the company launched in 2015 with $500,000 in initial financing. It monetizes through commissions on bookings, retains a cut when customers sign longer leases, and runs selective advertising that accounts for under 25% of revenue. CEO and co‑founder Mario Berta said FlySpaces is already profitable but sought outside capital to accelerate hiring, marketing and product development. The company has diversified into event venues, retail space and corporate dining, and is considering expansions such as billboard space. Customers listed on its site include Google, P&G, MediaCorp and Uber, and management says it ultimately aims to expand across other ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
