Founders Abhijit Gupta and Ram Sahasranam, who previously sold Praxify to Athenahealth, built Fold to address fragmented tech stacks, staffing shortages, and clinician burnout in primary care. Ten thousand patients currently use the platform, and the company maintains offices in San Francisco and Pune. Fold plans to use new funding to add features focused on primary care consumers and to further reduce administrative inefficiencies.
