Fomo Pay provides a one-stop shop for retailers in Singapore and Malaysia, supporting payment options such as WeChat Pay, Baidu Wallet, GrabPay and Visa QR. Founded in 2015, the company offers aggregated payment acceptance and merchant services. In September 2021 it obtained Monetary Authority of Singapore licenses to run merchant acquisition, a domestic money transfer service, and a digital payment token service. Management says transaction volume in the first half of the year exceeded total transactions for all of 2021 and that it has a "very robust" client pipeline. With the new funding the company plans to hire more staff, improve infrastructure, expand its product line, and collaborate with authorities on central bank digital currency initiatives.
