FononTech is a 2022 spin-off of TNO at Holst Centre in Eindhoven developing printed micro-electronics using its Impulse Printing™ additive process. The Impulse Printing technology copies a pattern thousands of times at high speed while depositing material only where required, which the company says reduces the ecological impact of micro-electronics manufacturing. FononTech intends to use its recent financing to accelerate development of the technology and prepare for scale-up. The international semiconductor and display markets have already shown strong interest in the company’s technology. The business is led by CEO Rob Hendriks and CTO Fabien Bruning. Financially, FononTech raised €2.3M in a Seed round comprised of convertible loans and a bank loan from Rabobank.
