Food Founders Studio is a venture studio focused on commercialising breakthrough food technologies currently trapped in European university labs. It has launched its first venture, a plant-based flavour improvement technology developed with a European university partner. The inaugural product targets off-flavours in legumes, a common issue in plant-based products. The proprietary process is said to significantly improve taste while reducing formulation costs and to outperform existing solutions. The studio closed an initial funding round of CHF 1.2 million (approx. $1.5 million) to support its mission and scale these technologies. Leadership plans include introducing the venture’s CEO in the coming weeks and pursuing the studio’s systematic, de-risking approach to food-tech innovation.
