Forestry.io offers a CMS designed to fit developer workflows and simplify publishing and updating content on static websites as teams move away from WordPress. The company ran a beta with users in July and officially launched its product in November. Forestry.io plans to begin charging for the service this month. The startup intends to use the seed funding to hire four people — marketers and developers — with a focus on hiring a marketer in Atlantic Canada. Leadership includes CEO Scott Gallant and co‑founder/CTO Jordan Patterson, who participated in Techstars NYC. The team maintains a presence in Charlottetown and an Ottawa office and has spent time in New York City while fundraising and building partnerships.
