Forge was founded in May 2023 by brothers Emir and Haris Sahmanovic to modernize hardware procurement. Its platform uses an AI model to parse supplier responses from spreadsheets, emails, and PDFs and integrate that data into a single system. Features include intake request management, purchasing workflows, quote comparison, and automated supplier onboarding and performance tracking, plus customizable workflows for different company needs. A core benefit is that supplier adoption is not required, since Forge extracts and standardizes quotes from existing formats. The product aims to reduce wasted engineer time, supply-chain inefficiencies, and unnecessary expedite fees. Forge already has paying customers and plans to use new funding to improve the product and grow its two-person team.
