Forrit is an Edinburgh-based, cloud-based CMS provider serving enterprise customers. The company spent almost a decade bootstrapping and self-funded its growth through client engagements. Leadership says the team has grown significantly and built a strong product during that period. Forrit has taken its first external institutional funding after years of self-financing. The startup secured £5 million from the Scottish National Investment Bank. The funding is intended to support creation of 15 new jobs and to drive expansion across Scotland, the rest of the UK, and beyond.
