FortaTrust is a Panama-based provider of cloud computing and hosting solutions offering Dedicated and Cloud Hosting as well as custom-tailored services for technology professionals, corporations and internet-centric customers. Founded in 1999 and led by President Luciano Maiello, the company operates data centers in the United States and Panama and has expansion underway in South America and Europe. The company completed an equity financing of more than R$4.2m (approximately US$2.1m) in 2012. The round was led by Sao Paulo-based private equity firm Santerra Participacoes Ltda with participation from investors in Switzerland. FortaTrust intends to use the proceeds to support its continued growth initiatives.
