ForwardX builds autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and proprietary fleet-management software targeting warehouses, logistics and manufacturing. Its diversified robot portfolio includes systems that transport, store, pick and dock, positioned as a brownfield solution to work within existing operations. The company says it has deployed roughly 3,000 robots across 150 sites on four continents and lists clients such as L’Oréal, IKEA, SF DHL, UNIQLO, Walmart and Mitsubishi. ForwardX launched in 2016 and is headquartered in Beijing. It has raised $140 million in total funding to date. The firm is seeking further expansion into North American, European, Asian and Australian markets.
