Founders is a 12-week talent accelerator run by Dogpatch Labs and the NDRC that helps pairs of founders launch tech start-ups. The programme attracted more than 500 applicants and selected 40 people who partnered up to create 20 new companies. Participant demographics included 30% women and 20% from outside Ireland, with backgrounds spanning Google, Meta, Stripe, SpaceX, NASA and PhDs in machine learning and data science. The accelerator provides mentoring, a culminating investor showcase and access to early-stage funding; eight participating start-ups have secured €100,000 in pre-seed funding after completing the programme. Future plans include an investor showcase in April and opening applications in March for a September cohort.
