FR8 is a technology-driven logistics service provider and truck aggregator offering long-haul transportation via a marketplace. The company was founded earlier this year by Vasanth Immanuel and Jayendran Panneerselvam and is owned by Olog Logistics Pvt. Ltd; it launched its product in June 2016. FR8's platform lists 2,500 trucks from 400 vendors and currently handles nearly 1,000 orders worth Rs 2.5 crore a month. Its clients include Asian Paints, Pepperfry, Britannia and Paperboat. The startup plans to expand its network from seven cities to 17 and aims to grow tenfold over the next year. Funds raised will be used for hiring and investing in technology to scale the platform.
