New Glasshouse, 2-4 Melior Place, Kwamecorp Studio, London, England, SE1 3SZ, United Kingdom
Overview
FrameBlast is a free iOS app positioning itself as an "Instagram for video," enabling users to record, merge and edit clips with one-thumb controls. The app offers pre-installed tunes, the ability to use iTunes tracks, simple special effects and Instagram-style color grades. It outputs high-definition video, supports iPhone 3GS/4/4S and is optimized for iPhone 5. Videos can be saved locally or shared to Vimeo, Facebook, YouTube and Tumblr, and FrameBlast.com is in development as a professional hub. The product comes out of Clearer Partners, an enterprise 'cloud video' startup with experience in the UK, and was co-founded by Steve Allen and Aaron Dey. Financially, FrameBlast has undisclosed seed funding from Outer Capital and an incoming £100,000 award from the UK government's Technology Strategy Board via the Tech City competition; Android and Pro versions are planned.
