FreePriceAlerts provides a browser-installed price engine that searches for best prices every time a user shops on online retail sites and alerts shoppers to potential savings. The service integrates with major retailers, including Amazon, Macy’s, Home Depot, BestBuy, Sears and Walmart, among tens of thousands. Led by founder and CEO Robert Wilkins, the company is based in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The company closed a $2.5M Series B to support growth. FreePriceAlerts said it will use the capital to expand its engineering staff and extend marketing programs to continue attracting new users. The product is designed to work on the sites users already visit by adding the price engine to their browser.
