Freetech builds intelligent driving products that provide vehicle perception and control using cameras, radar, and sensors. The company currently offers L2 and L2+ autopilot solutions and plans to develop new L3 autonomous driving capabilities. It is also operating two L4 self-driving minibuses on a trial basis in Hangzhou. Freetech supplies its systems to more than 40 OEMs, including FAW Group, SAIC Motor, Chang’an Automobile, Geely, and Dongfeng Motor Corp, and has R&D centers in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Jiaxing, and Huzhou. The startup generated RMB 150 million (USD 23.2 million) in revenue in 2020 and expects roughly a three-fold increase in the current year. It reached an agreement to supply L3 technologies to an unnamed automaker for vehicles planned for release in 2022.
