FreeWill offers free online tools that help Americans create wills, plan estates, and make tax-advantaged charitable donations. The company’s product suite includes a Bequest Tool for legacy giving, a Qualified Charitable Distributions Tool, a Stock Gifts Tool, and a Crypto for Charity tool to enable nonprofits to accept crypto donations. FreeWill partners with more than 1,000 nonprofits to provide estate-planning and related tools at no cost to consumers. To date the platform has generated nearly $5 billion in planned and real-time gifts for over 10,000 nonprofits and helped more than 460,000 consumers create wills and plan their estates. Led by CEOs Jenny Xia Spradling and Patrick Schmitt, the company is expanding capabilities to accept a wider range of non-cash gifts. The company plans to use new funding to accelerate growth and product development and to scale its nonprofit support capabilities.
