Overview
FreezeM, founded in 2018 as a Weizmann Institute spin-off and based in Nahshonim, Israel, develops and supplies PauseM®, a ready-to-use product containing life-cycle 'paused' black soldier fly (BSF) neonates. PauseM® offers an extended shelf-life of 14 days and consistent high survival rates of over 90%, is shipped worldwide, stored on site, and flexibly used according to production needs. The product is designed to simplify BSF reproduction and increase protein yield for BSF protein producers. FreezeM is expanding a network of breeding hubs and plans to commercialize its solutions at scale. The company has stated it will use new funding to accelerate growth of its breeding hubs network and embed its technology globally, with particular growth plans in Europe and Israel.
