Freightmate.ai emerged from stealth in Seattle and aims to help freight forwarding companies manage tasks and documents using artificial intelligence. The company launched its first document automation service and is now seeking its first freight forwarder customers. Freightmate was founded and is led by Bryan Lacaillade, previously a director of product management at Flexport and an Amazon logistics employee. His co-founders are Yingwei (Jason) Zhao, who also worked at Flexport and Amazon, and Rishab Gadroo, who spent 13 years at Amazon in engineering roles. The founders position the product as a next-generation AI-enabled freight management system to replace decades-old freight management tech. Freightmate is not generating revenue yet as it begins customer acquisition.
