Fresh Dish is a Los Angeles mobile meal-delivery service that sends weekly dinner kits to customers. The company launched the Fresh Dish app in the iTunes App Store to enable orders and distribution. Each kit contains fresh, pre-prepped, measured and individually packaged ingredients plus a simple recipe inspired by top chefs. The service charges $8 per meal per person. Incubated at the technology studio Science Inc., Fresh Dish is available in most of the western region (most areas in California, Nevada, and Arizona) and plans to be available nationwide in early 2013. The company has raised $500K in funding from Battery Ventures.
