FreshX develops supply chain software to help food companies and freight brokers book and manage cold chain transportation and storage. The company targets the growing complexity of the cold supply chain by offering fast, transparent, and flexible solutions for temperature-controlled freight. FreshX won first place in the 2024 Edward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge and was awarded a total $1 million investment, including the $185,000 Rattan L. Khosa First-Place Prize. That $1 million is the largest single-team award in NVC history. Founder and CEO Clay Curran, MBA’23, said the investment will be used to continue developing the product and support company growth. The award was granted through the University of Chicago Booth School of Business New Venture Challenge.
