Friethoes
Kuppersweg 27, Haarlem, Noord-Holland, 2031 EA, The Netherlands
Overview
Founded in 2010 as a Haarlem food-truck, FrietHoes has grown into a producer of fresh, artisanal fries supplied to hundreds of hospitality venues, festivals, and retailers such as Albert Heijn and Picnic. The company differentiates itself by offering fries without e-numbers or other additives, emphasising taste and craftsmanship. Its current factory in Nieuw-Vennep turns out about 10 million portions of fries per year, but management plans to quadruple capacity to 40 million portions annually. To enable this, FrietHoes will install a new frying line and refrigerated processing street and, if additional funds are secured, expand cold-storage capacity. The new production facility is slated to be operational in 2026. The recent collapse of large competitor CêlaVíta underscores FrietHoes’ focus on quality over scale and its ability to command a price premium. Director Marcel Joosten reports strong demand for local, authentic products, which the company believes underpins its growth trajectory.
