Founded in June 2023 and headquartered in The Hague, FroggyTalk was created to make it cheaper and easier for Africans living abroad to stay connected with home. Its mobile app provides low-cost, high-quality international calls alongside a Radio Hub that aggregates African FM stations; users have already logged more than 3.6 million listening minutes. Backed by a clear social-impact thesis, the company now aims to evolve beyond voice and entertainment into services that tackle documentation, legal support, financial inclusion, and mental-health needs for migrants. The roadmap includes weaving artificial intelligence into the core platform to optimize call quality, personalize content, and localize integration tools by country. FroggyTalk’s growth has been supported by the We Are Changemakers incubator and Dutch New Narrative Lab, which have provided mentorship and ecosystem connections. The recent seed funding gives the startup fresh capital to scale infrastructure and accelerate product expansion as it positions itself as a digital home base for Africans across Europe.
