Frontier Aerospace Corporation is a Thousand Oaks, California–based company that develops liquid rocket engines for in-space propulsion. The company provides propulsion technologies from concept through product development and qualification, with engines used in missile defense, lunar landers, deep-space applications, space transportation, and earth-observation satellites. Frontier recently delivered flight thrusters supporting NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program, the culmination of its first concept-to-flight thruster program. Thruster development and testing are ongoing across a range of thrust classes for NASA and government primes for missions spanning deep-space exploration, commercial space, and defense. In March 2023 Frontier raised $10 million in a Series A round led by AEI HorizonX. The company intends to use the proceeds to accelerate engine development activities and to support a major expansion of manufacturing and vacuum test facilities.
