Froogal, founded in 2017 by IIT Hyderabad alumni Jeevan Chowdhary and Harshit Harchani, is a Plano, Texas-registered company with operations in Hyderabad that builds customer loyalty and engagement solutions for brick-and-mortar brands. Its product suite includes Froogal Ascend (a loyalty management platform with experience tracking, analytics and marketing automation), Froogal Seamless (omnichannel integration) and the Froogal Consumer App (a single touchpoint for reward review and redemption). The startup leverages AI and machine learning to provide automated, customized marketing campaigns and lists clients including Cream Stone, The Thickshake Factory, LOT, Big C and Pista House. The company currently employs a little over 50 people. Froogal raised $1 million in a seed round from a group of US-based angel investors, with investor identities undisclosed. The capital will be used to expand into more Indian cities, including Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Gurugram, further its product line and pursue partnerships with global vendors.
