Frrole builds Twitter-based analytics that sift and analyze social conversations to deliver user insights and trends to customers such as media outlets and political campaigns. The company processes roughly half a billion tweets a month (stated) and reports analyzing over 10 million tweets daily and more than 100 million tweets since January. Its commercial offering is priced at about $100 per month per data stream. Frrole says it currently processes only a fraction of the global Twitter firehose (around 2–3% of Twitter data) and aims to expand to process the whole social web. Product development priorities include adding deeper semantic and contextual analysis layers and algorithms targeted at verticals beyond media and brands, including possible retail use cases and a concept the team calls “Behaviour as a service.” The startup is based in Bangalore and positions itself to scale amid growing social data volumes and election-driven activity.
