FTnet developed Fdirect, a multi-sided digital platform launched in early 2023 to digitize and simplify commercial relationships between pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies in Italy. The platform offers real-time interaction, business intelligence, data integration, and AI-supported decision tools aimed at optimizing stock management and strategic choices. FTnet was founded in 2021 by Marco Di Tonto and Stefano Beltrame and grew its team from 6 to 20 employees over the course of a year. In 2023 the company closed a second investment round of €3 million from friends and family; it had previously raised approximately €3 million in November 2022 from investors outside the pharmaceutical sector. Part of the new capital has been invested in Fdirect’s design and development and in team expansion, with the remainder earmarked to support the transition from early-stage to growth. The company has a planned collaboration with Alfasigma starting in early 2024 and is developing AI features such as a "stock sentinel" to forecast future sales and optimize inventory.
