Fuel Hub prepares, cooks and delivers chef-prepared, nutrition-focused meals to sports organisations, elite athletes and households across the UK. The business was founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team James and Michelle Laithwaite, who will retain 50% ownership and remain CEO and COO respectively. Fuel Hub already works with a portfolio of teams including Warrington Wolves, Team GB, Fulham FC, Blackpool FC and Derby County FC. The company offers weekly boxes of ready-to-heat meals that can be prepared in less than three minutes. Fuel Hub plans to scale operations, including moving into a new 10,000 sq ft facility to increase capacity to over 20,000 meals per week and to double staff headcount to 30 over the next 12 months. Its turnover has grown from £85k in 2019 to £300,005 in 2020 and £600,030 in 2021, with expected turnover of £2m in 2022.
