Funcom is an Oslo, Norway-based game developer and publisher. The company develops and publishes video games and manages interactive rights to established intellectual properties. It intends to use newly raised funds to create publishing partnerships with third-party developers and to increase flexibility in investing in internal game production. Funcom has teamed up with Cabinet Group LLC to establish Heroic Signatures, a new company that will hold and manage interactive rights to numerous IPs. The properties covered include Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, Mutant Chronicles, Dark Agnes, Kult, Kull of Atlantis, Mutant: Year Zero, and El Borak. Funcom and Cabinet Group will each own 50% of the joint venture; the company raised $10m in funding from SwedBank Robur Fonder AB.
