FundAmerica offers a platform for companies to run equity and debt crowdfunding campaigns and for brokers and investment banks to syndicate deals. Its product includes a syndication engine and tools for lawyers and accountants to advise on client offerings. The company plans to offer a white-label version of the platform for broker-dealers and registered portals seeking to provide services under the JOBS Act. FundAmerica was formerly operating in stealth as Arctic Island and is led by CEO Scott Purcell. Purcell previously raised more than $140m in venture funding for prior ventures, including OnAir Streaming Networks (acquired by Loudeye) and Epoch Networks. The company previously raised $200k in 2012 and has now completed a new funding round.
