Funkey is a Ghent-based team-building exercise facilitator that connects colleagues to white-label events through about 200 Belgian partners. It has indexed all of these events into a team-building search engine to give HR teams easy access. Last year Funkey launched a software app that integrates directly into HR workflows to produce budget and policy papers on team building sessions. According to the company, Belgian employers increased team-building spends by 66% compared with pandemic-era equivalents. Funkey recently collected €1 million from ING, PMV and five angel investors. The company is expanding into the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
