Fused provides a three-part, serverless middleware platform that ingests satellite data from storage repositories and converts it into visual representations for use in apps like Excel, Airtable, and Notion. The system combines several open-source components, a serverless processing engine (the company’s monetization point), and user-defined function (UDF) visualization templates built in Python. UDFs are open source so the community can create templates (for example, crop-yield views) and users can break down data by geographic area or export results to other tools. A core offering is the Fused Workbench, which is partially open and works with the back-end API to let users interact with data and see changes in seconds rather than hours. The company launched last year, has worked with early beta customers, and emerged from stealth today. Fused announced a $1 million pre-seed round to support product development and go-to-market.
