Overview
FusionOne is a privately owned end-to-end technology and operations company specializing in renewable electricity, white hydrogen production and thermal processing technologies. Its core product is the HydroPlas Reactor™, an integrated continuous-cycle reactor with a proprietary secondary heating system and syngas separation designed to convert plastic and other carbon-based wastes into hydrogen and electricity. The company has built a pilot plant that has been internally and externally validated on multiple carbon-based feedstocks, with a specific focus on plastic polymers. FusionOne plans commercial deployments on two North American sites starting in the first half of 2021 with delivery expected by the first half of 2022, and a third UK site to be announced in Q1 2023, followed by further US and UK deployments. FusionOne’s technologies are patent-pending with applications filed at the USPTO, and the company positions its process as low-cost hydrogen production that can realize tipping fees on waste feedstocks. As an early-stage company, FusionOne has limited commercial operating history and its commercial success depends on patent approvals, the pace of hydrogen industry development, the regulatory environment, and availability of further funding.
