Fyde

425 Sherman Ave Ste 220, Palo Alto, CA, 94306, United States

Overview

Fyde builds a solution to enable users to remotely and securely access their organisations' servers. The product aims to eliminate security risks associated with traditional VPN access as workforces become increasingly mobile. The company was founded in 2017 and is based in Porto and Palo Alto. Its founding team includes three of the four founders who previously started Remotium, which was later acquired by Avast. Fyde currently has about 20 employees. It recently raised €2 million in a seed funding round to support its growth. Fyde offers a free Apple iOS app that intercepts phishing, smishing, vishing and online account takeover attacks on mobile devices in real time, neutralizing threats. The product uses machine learning combined with human analysis to differentiate between authentic and risky links and messages and protects users across platforms including iCloud, social media and online banking. Additional features include banking session protection, text/voice protection and breach reports to cover a broad spectrum of mobile risk factors. Session protection scans the device and network to ensure sessions are secure, while text/voice protection filters fraudulent messages and phone numbers; breach reports alert users to breaches of frequented apps or websites. Fyde is currently available on iOS and has an Android version scheduled for release later in the year. The company is led by founder and CEO Sinan Eren and has offices in Palo Alto, CA and Porto, Portugal.
