G-volution develops the patented Optimiser multi-fuel system, created in collaboration with former Lucas Electronics engineers and Cranfield University. The Optimiser is designed to save commercial vehicle operators an estimated 10–15% in fuel costs and to cut carbon emissions by around 8%. The company intends to use new capital to further develop the Optimiser’s technology for a wider range of commercial vehicle applications and to investigate opportunities in the rail and maritime sectors. G-volution was established in 2006 under the Carbon Trust Incubator programme and has stated a target of capturing 10% of the heavy goods vehicle market by 2015. The recent financing is equity aimed at supporting product development and sector expansion. The company is based in Newport, UK.
