Gajiku is an on-demand payroll and people-management provider that lets employees access salary on demand through an employer-centric earned-wage-access model. It offers attendance, payroll disbursal, KPI tracking and a suite of employee-management processes to help employers digitize HR and accounting operations. The company works primarily with larger employers such as major Indonesian retail and manufacturing firms, averaging more than 1,500 employees per client, and reports that 90% of registered employees transact at least once a month. Gajiku targets largely underbanked, blue-collar workers and positions its service to reduce financial stress, improve business efficiency and lower employee turnover. Founded in January 2021 and led by CEO Sherman Tanuwidjaja and CTO Herry Gunawan, the core team has experience at Temasek, Ruangguru and Tokopedia. Following its seed financing, Gajiku plans to expand product features, drive sales and business development to onboard more large enterprises, increase headcount and remain focused on the Indonesian market.
