Galgo Medical is a Barcelona-based medical software company that develops diagnostic and interventional-planning tools across orthopedics, cardiac electrophysiology and neurovascular procedures. Its first commercial product, 3D-DXA Femur™, improves accuracy in diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis and is commercialized by French manufacturer DMS (Montpellier). The company is developing ADAS™, a product for characterization of the arrhythmia substrate to plan ventricular tachycardia interventions and predict sudden-death risk; clinical validation is underway in hospitals in the US, Brazil, Germany, Holland, Spain and Singapore. Galgo also has a prototype to help neurosurgeons and interventional radiologists plan neurovascular device interventions, particularly stents. Led by Dr. Luis Serra, Galgo raised €1m in public-private funding including backing from Inveready via its Inveready Innvierte Biotech II fund. The company plans to use the funds to continue product development, expand marketing for its three product lines, strengthen its technical and commercial teams, and open new headquarters in Singapore.
