GaltTec OÜ is a Tartu-based DeepTech startup developing micro-tubular solid oxide fuel cells (mSOFCs) for portable and off-grid energy solutions. Its core product is mSOFCs designed to extend operational endurance for drones and IoT devices by offering a lightweight, high-efficiency alternative to conventional batteries. The company targets both commercial and defense customers and already partners with drone manufacturers including Skycorp Technologies. Founded in 2022 by Glen Kelp, Laura Elise Arvisto, and Tanel Tätte, GaltTec plans to scale and expand into global markets. GaltTec joined the NATO DIANA accelerator programme and signed a cooperation agreement with the Estonian Defence Forces to test ethanol-based fuel cells, underscoring its dual-use strategy.
