Overview
Project Galaxy is a decentralized data-sharing network that is live and in use and manages what it calls the largest credential data network in Web3. It uses open, permissionless blockchain technology to create an aggregated layer of credential data accessible to developers. Structurally the platform functions similarly to The Graph, with credential contributors, curators, and consumers. Contributors and curators can earn money when their data is queried; data can be private or curated from blockchain and Web2 sources such as Twitter, TikTok, and GitHub. Co-founder Harry Zhang framed the effort as a re-architecturing of the Web2 data stack toward decentralized consensus mechanisms. Current focus areas include loyalty programs, growth-hacking campaigns, potential credit scoring, and projects using the network to customize voting systems.
