GameGenomeProject is a discovery engine for mobile games that matches users to games using trait-based metadata rather than broad categories. The product initially offers four selectable characteristics (including an “Undead” trait) and lets users combine traits to find tailored game recommendations. The team has tagged almost 10,000 Android games, with each title annotated with an average of 15–20 traits. Founders Anu Nigam and Roberto Fonti bring prior consumer and app-market experience to the project. The company has bootstrapped $500,000 to date and is planning a full launch in October.
